Driven by Cisco Systems and their associated partners, this project focuses on how city utilities can be linked directly to the home using Internet technology. This is facilitated by easily-installed innovative cabling systems and modern appliances that provide greater security, enhanced domestic logistics, information, and entertainment for the entire spectrum of family needs. The Studio & Partners' project uses a typical Milanese scenario, a city centre apartment that has been completely transformed. The model demonstrates how interactive technologies melded with modern furniture solutions can create an appealing home environment - one that is engineered and designed for the flexibility of contemporary lifestyles.
