Frankfurt Central Railway Station was selected to demonstrate the overall concept of Deutsche Bahn's new travel centres. From an architectural perspective, this particular project has restored some of the station's historical characteristics, while installing a large, modern atrium that floods the area with natural light. Apart from Deutsche Bahn's ticketing services, the centre includes dedicated counters for car rentals, conference facilities and first- and second-class lounges on the new mezzanine levels above.
