After winning the competition to design the German Railways ticketing centres, Studio & Partners developed a concept of modular counter configurations, ambient finishes and fixtures that have been implemented in over 250 stations around the country. By introducing the theme of 'luminousity' together with a balance of material texture and visual transparency, staff and travellers have been provided with a dramatically improved service environment that forms a key part of the comprehensive overhaul of Germany's entire rail business.
