Partners: Nic Bewick

Nic Bewick is a founder and principal partner of Studio & Partners based in Milan. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1957 he qualified as an architect and became a member of the RIBA after studying at Canterbury College of Art and working with Michael Hopkins Architects in London. He moved to Italy in 1984 to attend the Domus Academy under the guidance of Andrea Branzi and Mario Bellini. After receiving his Master degree he joined Michele De Lucchi and became a partner in Studio De Lucchi from 1988-98 from which was created Studio & Partners. Since moving to Italy he been involved in leading a wide range of international design and architectural projects.These include service environments for Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Bahn, retail design for Manadarina Duck and Blu, architectural projects for Stilwerk Berlin, the Conrad seminar centre, a residential complex for Olivetti at Ivrea and a new theatre for children in Milano. He has worked extensively in the office sector designing interior work space for Münchener Rück in Milan and McKinsey in Toronto and more recently has lead the creation of 'tutti - work architecture' Haworth's new furniture program.
